907 Flower Street

General contracting services were provided for a substantial renovation project at 907 Flower Street, located in the Grand Central Business Center (GCBC) in Glendale, CA. The building was previously occupied by a third-party tenant, adding another layer to the project. The project involved a significant overhaul of an 80,730 SF space, demonstrating the scale and complexity of the task at hand.

Designed to accommodate the diverse needs of the client’s “Imagineering” division, this required a comprehensive understanding of the division’s operations and a meticulous approach to planning and execution.

The project encompassed both infrastructure upgrades and interior improvements. This involved updating and enhancing the building’s core systems, such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, to ensure they met the required specifications and could support the building’s new functions. The interior improvements were designed to create a space that was both functional and conducive to the creative work of the team. This included the creation of a prop storage warehouse, providing a dedicated space for the storage and organization of props used in the division’s work. A mock-up space was also created, providing a versatile area where ideas could be visualized and tested. 

907 Flower Street also included the establishment of a wood shop and a metal shop. Special effects labs were set up as part of the renovation. These labs are designed for the development and testing of special effects, a key component of the Imagineering division’s work. The project also included the creation of office workspace and a gym.
